Here’s another redo of an old one. In fact this is one of the earliest drawings I have of my stick figures in their present day form, drawn about four years ago, and for some reason this remains one of my favorite doodles. I’ll probably be doing many redoes of old comics over the next couple of weeks; I’m simply too busy and drained to come up w/ totally new stuff now. Nevertheless I hope you enjoy.

I would like to thank Michel Remillard of Like a Rock for posting a link to my site. I don’t have an official links page, so it’s the least I could do for now to show some support for her comic up front. Michel is a model comrade citizen and we should all aspire to emulate her, working to serve my glorious republic website…*sigh* too many readings on pre 1970s China. Thanks, Michel!

Also, Joenis Norac, prolific artist that he is, has launched YET ANOTHER WEBCOMIC. It’s very funny, but requires you to read some of his other stuff, which I highly recommend. As usual, we thank Comrade Joenis for his hard work and dedication towards TNPPress.

Finally, tonight we celebrated the deliriously ecstatic Jewish holiday of Purim! Let me tell you something, I have never danced/jumped/screamed/summersaulted (while playing a saxophone) so much in my life. I hope all of you who celebrated also had a wonderful holiday and that you’ll take all this energy of Purim and use it to fill the world with light!

Thanks for the patience. School is extremely busy, so it’s hard to get time for even a short little comic. Also, thanks for the feedback! It’s great to know that I have what seems to be a growing fan base out there (in spite of my limited updatery).

Some updates:

I have been watching the Simpsons in German. It’s great language practice, even if the voice acting is a little lackluster. It’s funny how the comedic timing of the English versions gets totally lost when the German voice actors have to speed through extremely long sentences just to say the same thing. Btw, anyone know where I can find the Simpsons in Mandarin Chinese?
This weekend is Purim, one of the most exciting Jewish holidays out there. Tomorrow a fast day but then the party begins!

Based on a poem from Chinese class. The fourth week of school is an extremely tiresome one, and it feels like wading through a really thick bowl of oatmeal. Fortunately, the soothing tones of “Yellow House” by Grizzly Bear is providing me with some comfort and enjoyment.

In the meantime, I would like to ask for a little comic feedback. How do you think the comic has been doing so far? What might you like to see done differently, either in the comic or in the website itself? Should I find a day job so that you can tell me to not quit it? All constructive comments welcome!

Just a quick little sketchy practice piece. I want to do some comics featuring myself, not necessarily for this site, but just for fun. I’m a terrible artist of real people, so I have to copy the hard work of others. Oh, for those who don’t know me, I’m a Lubavitcher Chassid (as of something like last summer), hence the beard and hat, and I’m very proud of that fact. But I think most of the people who read this comic know that anyway. :D Enjoy.

Whatever someone cooked in the dorm kitchen smelled awful and now it’s in the drains and the whole kitchen stinks – we must all suffer for one person’s exotic food habits. In a poetically just society, their punishment would be to eat only white rice with no salt or butter for a month.

I’m a member of the Cornell Klezmer Ensemble, and our student president related this funny story:

She was at the Club Fair (one of those big events where all the student organizations get together to advertise and get new members), and she needed $10 for securing a booth. She was running around looking trying to get together the money, which she didn’t have, when a guy stopped her and said, “Can I help you?”

She responded, “Oh, I just need to find ten bucks for a booth.”

“Ten bucks!?” the guy said enthusiastically, “I can lend you ten bucks!”

After he gave her the money, she looked at where he had come from: The Cornell Socialist Club.

Thanks a ton to everyone who has been supporting my site. Recently, a bunch of people have been linking to me, posting my URL on other websites, stumbling, etc, and it has really helped boost my hits. Every little bit counts and means a lot to me!

The hard part of school has kicked in – you know, the part with the work. So I may slow down comics a bit. Still shooting for one a week minimum.
