Good physical comedy is actually pretty hard to do. I’ve been hit in the groin a bunch of times, and it’s only been funny sometimes.

Slapstick was made funnier by the flaws in old video. It made people seem like they were moving ridiculously fast, which made it even better. I believe we just have evolved to think we are above such primal humor, so we try not to think it is funny anymore, even though it was so much better than some (most) comedians today. People try to think worded comedians provide intelligent comedy, while slapstick is stupid comedy, because it is more primal. I think that is crap; let it rain pies!
