This comic was done with an actual dip pen! I really like the depth that such a pen conveys, as opposed to the other pens, which I use for lettering. I ought to get another set of nibs so that I can make thicker strokes, but this looks good for now.

that type of pen is sooo much harder for me to use! I’ve been sticking to microns for my [ui]s
Indeed it’s very tough to use. For some reason I picked it up after several months of not using it at all and I totally had the feel for it. Also, you need a good paper for it. Normal bristol board bleeds too much. I bought some stuff from the Cornell store and it works really well. I love the microns though. I used them on all the other strips.
I like fountain pens quite a bit. Never used a dip pen tho.
very tricky to get used to. last year i tried doing most of my comics with them, but they were just ugly and bleeding all the over the place. for some reason, i picked it up again this year, and i had it down pretty well.
